Every Tuesday starting June 1st through October 26th, from 4PM to 8PM.

Located alongside Thrasher Park, on Buchanan Street next to the railroad tracks, just yards from Downtown Historic Norcross.

This open air market features locally produced fresh vegetables and fruits, grown using organic and natural practices. In addition, we offer homemade baked goods, breads, meats and cheeses, fresh eggs and milk, sauces, spices, jams and jellies, and other items from the local region.  Over 42 vendors will be on hand this year, offering products that are locally grown, vegan, gluten-free, use organic ingredients, and reflect recipes that are newly created as well as handed down through the generations. The Whistle Stop Farmer's Market is here to provide you with the best variety of local fresh produce and foods possible, in an atmosphere that is relaxing, educational and just plain good fun.

Why are we different?

We're not only an open air farmer's market, we're also a place to learn about living a more healthy lifestyle. Kids and adults will both enjoy various events that encourage nutritional eating and an appreciation for where local foods are made and grown. From cooking demonstrations and introductions to "green" products for the adults, to craft activities, puppet shows, and interactive activities for the kids, the market is rounded out with live music and an assortment of "organic crafts" that are sure to enhance the market experience. That's why we say the Whistle Stop Farmer's Market is where getting fresh is fun!!

How do we support our community?

Not only does the market offer an exciting venue in which local growers and producers can sell their products, we also give back to the community in other ways. The Whistle Stop Farmer's Market has helped start this year's garden for Stripling Elementary's Garden Club and Norcross Charity Gardens' summer crop. This year, the market is generously sponosored by GAS SOUTH, and able to offer funds towards finishing the school's outdoor classroom. In addition, Stripling's blossoming artists have designed our 2010 MARKET T-SHIRT....100% of the proceeds will go to PROJECT PLAYGROUND, a community-wide effort to fund new playground equipment for our local public elementary schools.  And NEW THIS YEAR (thanks to a generous grant by the USDA/RC&D) - THE MARKET IS ACCEPTING EBT CARDS. We want EVERYONE to enjoy the benefits (and sheer pleasure!) of eating healthy, nutritional food, grown with love by our local farmers.
