This Season's Market Events
Each week, we offer activities that enhance the market experience. There are activities specifically for kids, as well as just for adults - they all are educational, "green-related" and a lot of fun. Weekly events are listed below, and are subject to change...like any good cook, we also throw things in at the last minute to make it all taste even better!
June 1
- Kaiser Permanente's Performing Puppets present, "What's in That Lunch Bag, Anyway?" Larger-than-life puppets make learning about nutrition fun for all ages of kids
- Hawk Talk - meet wild bird expert Monteen McCord and her owls and hawks. This is a facinating and rare chance to get close to these wild, feathered creatures. Visit her website http://www.hawktalk.org
- Live music - enjoy the sounds of soul/Motown with Patrick Stacey from Rock Star Farms! THE SOUND SYSTEM IS SOLAR POWERED....how cool is THAT?! Come enjoy good music, great local goodies, and learn more about solar power and how it can work in your home.
June 8
- Norcross Neighbors Annual Ice Cream Social - enjoy free ice cream (while it lasts!)
- Live music from 4pm - 7:30pm with market diva, Conni Lewis
- Face painting for kids
- Kids Corner Crafts - take recycled stuff and make cool things
June 15
- The Science Academy - a mobile science lab experience for kids. Free, although they ask that the "sale of the grasshopper project is $2) How cool does THIS sound?!
- Live music - Craig Gleason is back - hooray!
- Chef Scott Elmore, from Historic Norcross' lunch spot and caterer, The Bleu House, will be on hand to show you how to make GOOD THINGS TO EAT using fresh product from today's market! He will also be on hand to answer culinary questions and offer tips for great summer dining

June 22
- Free kids' craft project: Come make neat stepping stones for your mom and dad's garden! Art in the garden is always an incentive for things to grow (or so we're told)
- Live music with Laura Lockie.....original blues & jazz sound
- Chef Scott Elmore, from Historic Norcross' lunch spot and caterer, The Bleu House, will be on hand to show you how to make GOOD THINGS TO EAT using fresh product from today's market! He will also be on hand to answer culinary questions and offer tips for great summer dining

- The SLIDE BY SLIDE TROMBONES ARE HERE! Huge hit last season and back by popular demand....their music is good for a soul. Do your shopping then pull up a chair on the grass and ENJOY!
